Meet Curve Appeal

Feature on: Curve Appeal

Curve Appeal is a full figured modeling troupe that was established August 2016 on the campus of North Carolina Central University. It was founded by Jessiqua Pryor and Briana Brooks, but currently resides in the arms of President Osheana Turner and Vice President Saudia Brownlee.

This troupe was created to battle world sizeism and portray a message to the world that you can be beautiful, handsome, talented, and successful regardless of the shape or size you are. Recognition should not come from your external physique, it should instead come from what you have to offer internally as a person.

Curve Appeal came through and delivered that message with their Insane Asylum showcase in October 2018. This showcase was a sold out event as Curve Appeal had special guest performances from House Arrest 2 Juke Squad & N.C. Central's varsity cheer squad, Champagne! They have managed to demonstrate in a frightening yet exciting way the common stigmas and misconceptions associated with people who have different opinions and outlooks then most of society.

Curve Appeal wants to inspire both men and women of all sizes to continue being themselves. Thrive in whatever you do, even the things you were told you couldn’t do. Be yourself, stay true to your passion, and lastly, slay!
